IKG Cultural Resource Center in the Thurgood Marshall Building presents the accomplished author/co-author, frequent national and international lecturer, and noted historian of the African Diaspora, Mr. C.R. Gibbs, who will present the DC Emancipation Story, as part of the commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the ending of slavery in the District of Columbi and freeing of 3100 enslaved persons.
