Dr. Julianne Malveaux, President Emerita of Bennett College, moderates a conversation with Drs. Thavolia Glymph and Hannah Rosen. Glymph is an associate professor of history at Duke University and author of Out of the House of Bondage: The Transformation of the Plantation Household.  Rosen is an assistant professor of history and American studies at the College of William and Mary and author of Terror in the Heart of Freedom: Citizenship, Sexual Violence, and the Meaning of Race in the Post-emancipation South.
